midnight
In the midst of the darkest hour.
I pour my heart out, like a rain shower.
Far from dawn, the night is long.
I wander in my dreams, my mind is gone.
I get lost at the thought of you.
The memories hold a perfect view.
How come you only appear when darkness nears?
The sound of your voice echoes in the willows.
I still have the stains of pain on my pillows.
I find solace in the night sky.
The chills of the wind, the stillness of the earth.
I don’t want to stop dreaming of you.
I sprint from the light.
For I reminisce with midnight.
